BELIEFS AND PRACTICES

OUR PRACTICES

  • We believe that communion is a physical reminder that Jesus died for our sins and will return again. We believe communion should only be taken by those who are “in communion” with Christ (or said differently, have trusted in Christ and are living in obedience to Him). We practice open communion -- this means we invite all believers to participate in communion with us and not just those who are a part of our church.

  • We believe that prayer is essential to the growth of every believer. We believe that God hears and answers prayer today and to glorify himself, performs miracles and heals.

  • Once you’ve trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior, your next step is to be baptized to demonstrate your obedience.  When you get baptized, you honor God the Father who sent His Son, you honor Jesus who died for you, and you honor the Holy Spirit who guarantees your salvation.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

  • Psalms 103:8-18 // Isaiah 40:28 // 1 John 4:16

We believe in one God who supernaturally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is eternal, all-knowing, and unimaginably powerful; yet deeply personal, patient, and passionate about YOU. God created and sustains all things, and He invites us not just to know about Him, but to truly know Him.

  • John 1:1 // Philippians 2:5-11 // Hebrews 4:15-16

We believe Jesus is God who stepped into humanity without ever stepping out of His divinity, fully God and fully human. Because of who He is, He lived the sinless life we couldn’t, died the death we deserved, defeated the grave, and is alive today, reigning with God the Father in heaven. Jesus is our Savior, our King, and will one day return for His people.

  • John 14:15-17 // Ephesians 1:13-14 // Galatians 5:22-23 // 1 Corinthians 2:13

We believe the Holy Spirit is God, and at salvation, He comes to live within every believer, sealing our new life in Christ forever. The Spirit opens our eyes to truth, lovingly convicts us of sin, strengthens us to overcome temptation, and empowers us to follow Jesus daily. He also gives every believer spiritual gifts so we can serve others and live out God’s mission.

  • Psalms 119:105 // Romans 10:17 // 2 Timothy 3:16 // Hebrews 4:12-14

We believe the Bible is God’s Word: true, trustworthy, and life-giving. Through Scripture, God reveals who He is, who we are, and how we are invited to live. The Bible is without error, timeless, and our ultimate authority and guide, helping shape our lives as we follow Jesus.

  • John 1:12 // John 3:16 // Acts 4:12 // Ephesians 2:8-9

We believe salvation is a free gift of grace, made possible by what Jesus has already done for us on the cross and received through faith in Him alone. Jesus paid the full price for sin: past, present, and future. When we put our trust in Him, that forgiveness becomes personal. In Christ, we are forgiven, made new, and welcomed into God’s family.

  • Genesis 1:27 // Luke 19:10 // Romans 3:23 // Romans 5:8

We believe all people are created in the image of God and deeply loved by Him. And, we are also sinful, and without Jesus, we are lost and separated from God, yet no one is too far gone for His grace. God meets us in our mess and invites us to bring our lives to Jesus, who rescues us, restores us, and leads us into new life.

  • Ephesians 4:16 // Colossians 3:16 // Hebrews 10:24-25

We believe the church is not a building. The Church is people who have been changed by Jesus and are learning to follow Him together. We are a messy church, where real people can bring real problems and flaws to connect with a God whose grace is bigger than their mess. The Church exists to glorify Christ, teach God’s Word, grow in community, and bring hope to a broken world. Everyone matters, everyone belongs, and everyone has a part to play as we worship, learn, and follow God.

  • Daniel 12:2-4 // John 5:28-29 // Revelation 21:3-4

We believe this life is not the end, and that one day all people will be resurrected and raised to new life. Those who choose Jesus will spend eternity with God in heaven, fully alive in His presence, completely restored, and forever enjoying His goodness. Those who reject Him will face eternal punishment in Hell. While that’s a hard truth to hear, it’s why we believe your response to Jesus is the most important decision you will ever make.
